USS Macon ZRS-5 Zeppelin Flight Cover (not flown), 5/18/1934 Sunnyvale cancel with George Fortier cachet, Ullmann/Mellone's #8.1 for this date. The cover has an open flap with gum intact (not shown). Condition is as shown in the pics. The cover shows minimal toning and is in quite nice shape. Ullmann/Mellone's values that cover at $75.00. This cover commemorates the flight of the USS Macon from Opa Locka back to Moffett Field. The Macon left on 16th and returned to Moffett Field on the 18th. Moffett Field is in Sunnyvale.
