Description
Rare & Unusual Scott #3185m Unofficial City with Predate First Day Cover FDC, Ft. Worth, June 3, 1998. One of a Kind Melissa Fox Signed Period Cachet. Exquisite hand painted cachet with notation "1 of 1 MFox" on the reverse with date. This stamp was part of the 1930's Celebrate the Century Sheet, with first day of issue September 10, 1998, in Cleveland. This cover has the stamp tied with the cancellation from the 1920's issue (May 28, 1998, Chicago). So, this cover is predated, has the wrong cancel, and an unofficial city. Note, it is hard to see, but the stamp is tied by the right side of the banner. For condition see the pics. The cover exhibits minimal toning, and is in nice shape. I continue to list airmail and FD covers every week. I distribute the listings between the US covers - "postal history", "event other", "event Naval", "first flight", and FDC categories, so please check my other listings ( other items ). Shipping to Canada is $12.50 and to selected foreign destinations (see list) is $17.5 0. Shipping for other cover lots in the US is an additional $0.75 each if won or purchased within 3 days.
